S TRONG EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Dr. Berrios ~ My educational background spans twelve years prior to beginning private practice in Los Angeles in 1987. As an undergraduate, I studied engineering at the University of Florida. After college I attended Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago. From there I went Philadelphia where I completed my residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. In 1995 I opened my office in Huntington Beach, California. Five years later in 2000, I opened a second office in Newport Beach.
AWARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS:
Dr. Berrios has been awarded the title of Diplomat by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Southern California Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Memberships also include The American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Orange County Dental Society. Dr. Berrios has also been certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) since 1984 and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) since 1985.

Drs. Berrios is qualified and experienced in the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including: Dental Implants and Bone Grafting; Orthognathic Surgery (jaw repositioning); Jaw, Cheek and Chin reconstruction; Removal of Wisdom Teeth; TMJ (jaw joint) treatment; Maxillofacial trauma repair (broken jaw); Cervicofacial Liposuction (double chin); Diagnosis and Treatment of Oral Pathology; Dental Extractions; Apicoectomies (surgery on tooth roots); Dermabrasion, Glycolic Peels and BOTOX® Cosmetic.

Kal Rammo, D.D.S.
CREDENTIALS
 Dr. Rammo’s educational experience started as an undergraduate in 1990 at the University of Toronto. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1997 where he graduated with a major in Oral Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Rammo pursued a 1 year general internship at Toronto’s Mount Sinai Hospital followed by a focused oral surgery internship at the University of Rochester in New York. From there he completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2005. He trained under the world renowned surgeon Dr. Robert E. Marx at the University of Miami, School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital, which included a heavy emphasis on reconstructive surgery of the head and neck. Since 2005, Dr. Rammo has been practicing in Arizona and Texas and then re-located to Orange County and joined Dr. Rick Berrios at Ocean Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Rammo has been awarded the title of Diplomat by both the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Orange County Dental Society. Dr. Rammo is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
QUALIFICATIONS AND PROCEDURES
Dr. Rammo is trained to perform the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, and his interests focus on wisdom teeth removal, dental implants and bone reconstruction, oral and maxillofacial pathology and treatment of temporomandibular disorders. Dr. Rammo is an examiner for the Dental Board of California, and alongside Dr. Berrios, hold quarterly continuing education courses on a variety of topics.
