Meet Dr. Rick Berrios
Rick J. Berrios, DDS
Credentials
Dr. Berrios’ educational background spans 12 years prior to beginning private practice in the San Gabriel Valley in 1987. As an undergraduate, he studied Material Science Engineering at the University of Florida. After college he attended Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago. From there he completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. In 1995 he opened his first office in Huntington Beach followed by opening his second in Newport Beach in 2000. In 2010 Dr. Berrios moved 1.2 miles up the street from his previous location in Newport Beach to a larger office in Costa Mesa California.
Awards and Achievements
Dr. Berrios has been awarded the title of Diplomat by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a fellow of the American Association of Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Southern California Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Memberships also include the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Orange County Dental Society. Dr Berrios has been certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) since 1984 and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) since 1985.
Qualifications and Procedures
Dr. Berrios enjoys practicing the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including dental implants, wisdom teeth removal and the diagnosis and treatment of oral pathologies. Dr. Berrios is also certified by the California Dental Association as a provider of continuing education. He enjoys holding quarterly continuing education meetings to assist in continuing the education of others.

As the leader of the Ocean Oral Surgery team, Dr. Berrios always looks to set a high standard for patient care. He is committed to becoming a community choice for quality care and prides himself on developing professional relationships to meet the challenges of Oral and Maxillofacial surgical care.
